You can find the settings in the GUI under home network/interfaces/local network/configure.
Here's my config:

Connecting to either 192.168.0.254 or 192.168.1.254 produces:
Code:
$ telnet 192.168.1.254
Trying 192.168.1.254...
telnet: connect to address 192.168.1.254: Operation timed out
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host
I figured it would be a telnet command similar to disabling WAN access. I can change my IP to one in the "1" subnet, but obviously it's inconvenient as I'll be disconnected from chats/IRC etc.

On another note, is it possible to delete the LAN_private pool, as I want all clients in .0.x - I think they have to be manually configured to use them as it defaults to the .1.x?

One thing that could be tried (bear in my I haven't tried this myself) is to backup the configuration. Change all references for lan_private to be in the 192.168.0.x range and restore the config.

I can only find two references to lan_private in my config file

[ dhcspool.ini ]
pool add name=LAN_private

[ dhcs.ini ]
debug traceconfig state=disabled
policy verifyfirst=enabled trustclient=enabled rtbehaviour=traditional
pool config name=LAN_private intf=LocalNetwork poolstart=192.168.1.64 poolend=192.168.1.253 netmask=24 gateway=192.168.1.254 server=192.168.1.254 leasetime=86400

Hey Yes.
My name is Rojertwose I read your problem Main reason for it's existence in a domestic class device is to defend against a pretty specific type of DoS attack. One or two mangled TCP connect sessions aren't anything to care much about - some `background level` of packet loss/knackered session setups are just a fact of life on a multi hop route.

Default useful CLI commands for BeBox

just been reading this thread ... I already knew i had a problem with 3 open ports cause I did the shields up test as soon as I was connected. I was a bit miffed by the result cause previously my PC was always fully stealthed which it told me was very cool Anyway ..... I cant telnet into my speedtouch - just gives me an error message. If I just type telnet into the command prompt I get the microsoft telnet client. But telnet plus the IP address gets me an error. Any ideas why I cant get in ?I also tried to see if I could do the thing you suggest with the game and application control, but I couldnt figure out how to do it.

Default Enable Annex-M

I've been using my Speedtouch 780WL with Be for a number of years, and have recently found the more newer (non-Be) firmwares to be more reliable. I have also found that Annex-M (upload plus) is not enabled so you need to enable Annex-M for use.

Enable Annex-M by issuing the following command

:adsl debug multimode config=g992.5_AnnexA+g992.5_AnnexM
:adsl debug multimode
:saveall

Another issue I have come across is the DNS server on the BeBox, and found that by disabling the BeBox DNS it is much more reliable. There may be some undesired consequences of doing this, such as if you need hostnames resolved by the BeBox. You can read more details here http://paste.ubuntu.com/1877/plain/

Disable BeBox DNS Server
:dns server config state=disabled
:saveall

Once you've done this you need to renew your ip address and you should only see the public DNS servers and not the BeBox one
